“Fun With Dick and Jane”
So I just finished watching this movie half an hour ago (I’m now watching Dawn of the Dead ‘78). It was pretty funny, though I hate Tea Leoni for stealing Fox Mulder from me. It was kinda like a cross between a Cohen Brothers’ film and Death to Smoochy. If you haven’t seen the latter, you should. As for Cohen Brothers’ films, I don’t recommend any except O Brother Whereart Thou?. …there’s not much I wanted to say beyond that. And I’ll be using the same ratings system as I do with books, reposted here for your convenience.
Let’s say… 3 out of 5 stars.
1 - SUCK!
2 - I guess I should at least finish it…
3 - I kinda liked this one.
4 - Love it!
5 - One of my favorites of all time.

As with almost every movie, the original is better.
Although, the scene where he “got the lawn back” was pretty excellent.

Re the lawn: hehehehe.
I’ve never really gotten into old movies. Maybe I should.

If you want to watch a good movie that had a horrible remake, I suggest Bedazzled.
It’s kinda hard to find, but worth a little searching.

Mom owns the remake and it.is.horrible. It’s so bad I’m not interested in the original. =P And Dudley Moore creeps me out…
I didn’t know you were into old flicks.

The original Bedazzled has a lot more wit and even some mildly intelligent theological discussion about Satan’s fall.
It’s one of probably a thousand movies that revolve around a wager between God and the devil, but without plagiarism we’d have no movies at all.
